Automate Your Floor Cleaning: Robot Vac vs Stick Vac — The Winner?

Automate Your Floor Cleaning: Robot Vac vs Stick Vac — The Winner?

I never loved the job of cleaning floors. It is, and not exciting, is the word that I would describe it as. There are individuals who actually love to vacuum. I simply want it to be over and done with.

In the last several months, I continued to see robot vacuums everywhere. Friends mentioned them. They continued to be displayed through social media ads. Meanwhile, the old stick vacuum was still in the cupboard, continuing its regular work.

So, I made up my mind to quit guessing and put the two to the test. I vacuumed with my normal stick vacuum. To compare both, I tested a traditional stick vacuum for regular chores and used the KRAPOF® Robotic Vacuum Cleaner over several weeks. It was not a dramatic thing that happened. But it was interesting.

How They Work

A stick vacuum is easy to use. You plug it in or charge it. You push it around and decide where it goes. Something gratifying in such control. A vacuum robot is not the same initially. You press start and step back. It moves around on its own.

It was the first time I was watching it, and I was standing up. The Robot vac was a little bit obscure, almost indolent. Then after some days, it was ordinary.

Cleaning Performance

In the case of ordinary dust, the robot performed better than I had anticipated. The crumbs in the kitchen died away. Light dust on the corridor was also dealt with no effort on my part. The KRAPOF robotic vacuum was slow in moving around the furniture and at times took time to turn. It was slow but regular.

Once complete, it got back to the charging base automatically. The little fact actually impressed me more than good suction would have impressed me. Now to heavier carpets, matters were different. My stick vacuum does not feel any weaker.

Manual control was different on carpet corners and in the deeper dirty areas. In a simple sense, I can say that the robot sustains. The mess is assaulted by the stick vacuum.

Ease of Use

Robot vacuums score in terms of effort. You push a button and go on with your day. I even allow it to wash and read emails. That sounded realistic and strangely gratifying.

There are stick vacuums that demand your time and attention. You cannot use one as a multitasker. However, in some instances, intensive tidying becomes fruitful. It is especially useful when one place appears to be especially messy. The convenience is different between the two.

Surface Adaptability

Both are good on tiles and hardwood floors. The robot prevents the accumulation of dust on a daily basis. The repetition of that every day is beneficial in a way I did not know. I still use the stick vacuum on carpets.

The thicker the fibers, the more intense the suction should be. It is an obvious difference that can be observed very quickly. Stairs are not even a contest. Robot cleaners are unable to deal with them. Stepwise control in stick vacuum cleaning is not a problem. Home layout is more important than marketing statements.

Time and Effort

The largest change that I observed was the time saved. I did other things, and the robot was cleaning. I was not required to set a complete cleaning session every couple of days. Stick vacuuming is more deliberate.

You put aside time and do the job all the way through. There is a time when it seems there is a need to go deeper. A number of weeks later, I was using both of them naturally. Not because it is someone who told me to. Just because it made sense.

Battery and Power

The robot vacuums are life and death on battery life. The KRAPOF Power Robotic Vacuum goes automatically back to its charging base whenever required, and this made the experience a smooth and low-maintenance experience.

I hardly had to give a thought to the fighting charge. The stick vacuums rely on their model. Corded versions are unlimited but not flexible. Cordless, convenient, but battery-reliant. In bigger houses, battery capacity can be felt soon.

Maintenance Requirements

The vacuum cleaner robot needs frequent emptying of the bins. Its dust compartment does not happen to be very large. I wasted more than I had anticipated. Cleaning of the brushes is not difficult. Its neglect decreases performance in the long run.

Filter care is also required for stick vacuums. The servicing is comfortable and predictable. Nor is either maintenance-free.

Cost and Value

Robot vacuums are also more expensive in the short term. You are charging for automation and time saving. That can or cannot be, according to your habit.

Stick vacuums are cheaper to buy. They are more expensive when it comes to physical effort. That is a trade-off that is personal as opposed to technical.

Final Verdict

I also ceased to consider which one of them is better in general. They are not competing in exactly the same way. The KRAPOF® Robotic Vacuum Cleaner supports daily maintenance by working independently and returning to charge automatically.

There are deeper cleaning days that my stick vacuum continues to take. Automation seems to be useful in case you have a hectic schedule. Manual vacuuming is no less satisfying if you want to be in full charge. In my case, it was normal to use both.

Not revolutionary. Practical!
